Jonathan’s Top Priorities:

• Streamline the building permit process: Cut the red tape and create a more efficient, transparent building permit process that works for everyone so businesses and residents can build quickly and efficiently.

• Fixing Drainage: Flooded homes and roads shouldn’t be a recurring problem. Drainage is a basic county responsibility, and it’s time the job gets done right.

• Improving Infrastructure: With new businesses and developments coming to Cameron County, we need to stay ahead—investing in better roads, utilities, and smart growth planning.

• Real Property Tax Relief: He’s calling out inflated property values that mask real tax hikes and wants fair assessments—not tricks that burden working families.

• Tackling the Water Crisis: Ensuring access to clean, reliable water must be a priority.

• Supporting Law Enforcement: Jonathan believes in standing behind the men and women who protect our neighborhoods. He’ll work to ensure our deputies and first responders have the resources, training, pay, and community respect they deserve.

• Protecting Local Agriculture: Preventing threats like the screw worm from devastating ranchers and their livelihoods.
